Only Two Residencies Left for 2026
Guatemalan scholarships are still available.
As the year takes shape, there are now just two remaining residencies open for application in 2026. If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to apply, this is likely it.
These residencies are intentionally small and focused, designed around something increasingly rare: uninterrupted time. Time to write, to think, to make work, or simply to step outside of routine long enough for new ideas to surface.
For those planning further ahead, expanded 2027 open call dates will be announced soon, with additional opportunities and formats currently in development.
In the meantime, the final 2026 residencies are:
Writing Residency
August 2–10, 2026
Application Deadline: February 28, 2026
A dedicated period for writers seeking sustained concentration, whether for a draft, a revision, or the early stages of something not yet fully formed.
Artist Residency
October 25 – November 6, 2026
Application Deadline: March 31, 2026
An open, self-directed residency for artists across disciplines. A space for development, experimentation, and deep focus.
Guatemalan scholarships remain available as part of the residency’s commitment to supporting creative practice within Guatemala. Local artists and writers are warmly encouraged to apply.
